Default 1916 DWM Luger Question

I am somewhat new to Luger collecting. I have a 1916 DWM that appears to be all matching. My question is about the serial on the mag. It is stamped with just the last two numbers, all examples I can find have all four numbers. Should it have all four or were some stamped with just the last two. Thanks.

To the best of my knowledge it should have all numbers.

...All numbers and the suffix, if there is one.

Ok that is what I was afraid off. I purchased it thinking the mag was not matching but when I saw the last two numbers stamped on the bottom I thought I got a excellent deal.

Over the years owners wishing to feel better about the Luger they owned would "force match" or "Boost" their Lugers by adding matching numbers to parts or magazines. Fortunately, the vast majority of them lacked the knowledge or tools to get it right, so these attempts to enhance their pistols are easy to spot today.

I had suspected that but wanted to check with those more knowledgable than I am. I bought it as a shooter lower grade collectible to start out. I guess all matching except mag not too bad. Thanks for all your help.
