Krieghoff serial numbers - updated 11/01/15
Compiled list of known Krieghoffs. Please fill in any missing info if you have first hand knowledge. Most of all I want to track condition as these guns will resurface in MINT condition and with 2 matched mags, so it's important that we get it right now! This will be extremely valuable in 10 years!!. Happy to report we just untied an orphan mag with the gun. One HAPPY forum member. If you would like to send me serials and/ or descriptions my email address is whitemant@aol.com

Unfortunately, my dad sold my S code SN 1774 in the 1970s, then re-blued it and re-gripped it as the customer always had to have a "pair" of any pistol he had. I brought it home from Berlin and paid $65 for it in 1962. To ease anyone's outrage at it's treatment, it had already been re-blued when I got it. This was also well in advance of it's being the major collector's item that it would be now. The "matching" portions we left were the frame, bbl and receiver, and small parts. I ended up with the marked toggle so I'm sure dad put on a DWM toggle on it. So, if it exists now as a Kreighoff, it is a mis-match, conterfeit. I've been thinking all afternoon that the SN may have been 1974 instead of 1774.

Krieghoff serial numbers
Just read your list.
I have two Krieghoff guns here in New Zealand , s/n 11244 dated 1944 98% all matching and s/n P 893 side frame marked, all matching including magazine. I see that 11244 is already included in your list. Kind wishes Murray

Krieghoff serial numbers
I once owned serial number 10,000 dtd 1937 that I purchased at the Peoria, Ill gun show in 1968 and it was sold to Ralph at the OGCA show in either 1971 0r 1972. Would like to know where it might be now?
Thank you Fred |

Krieghoff saerial numbers
Edward:
I did not find it on the latest listing. Always wondered where it might be today? Selling it was the dumbest thing I have done in 60 years of collecting! Thank you for your quick response. Fred |

Tom,
I note that SN 3860 is not on your list although it is in Gibson. Details are: SN 3860, Late S-date, 98 percent, fine Ritzman grips, all correct per Gibson, HK Holster and tool, one matching magazine. Was also fortunate enough to get a 1937 rig as follows: SN 9214, 98 percent, all correct per Gibson, HK holster and tool, with two matching magazines. Thanks again for the good work you do maintaining the HK list. Very useful. John |

Tom,
Thanks again for your good work maintaining this list. Its appreciated. And thanks for facilitating the match-up of the SN 20 Magazine with the SN 39 gun. A near miss but better than what was in there. So, a few additions/corrections: 1. Orphan mag SN 20 is now located in SN 39 gun. 2. Addition of SN 439 to the list. Early S-date. All matched with proper proofs, HK wood grips, 97-98 original finish. Non-matching HK magazine SN 5701. Am actively looking for SN 439 magazine or near miss. 3. Found a typo on SN 4984. This is a complete rig with two matching magazines and HK tool and holster. 4. 1941, SN 11915 does have one matching SN HK magazine. That's about it for now. John |
