The Shah's Guard
I am a writer writing a story where one of the characters is buying a Luger that belong to â??The Shahâ??s Guardsâ? in Persia (Iran). Does anyone know anything of the history of these Lugers used by â??The Shahâ??s Guards?â?

Re: The Shah's Guard
See Jan Stills work, Third Reich Lugers...he gives a lot of detail about both the 4" barrel versions and the 8" LP-08 versions.
Hope this helps.. Tom |

Mick, do a search on "Shah" & you will find a series of messagethreads
That deal with an Iranian Luger of special interest and one includes a photo of the Iranian luger still in the box... with two magazines. this luger was presented by the Iranian Army to an American officer (A General Evans) and is owned by a Lugerforum member named George...
The search function is at the top of the main Discussion board page. The other sources quoted above for info on Iranian Lugers should give you all the additional info you may require. regards, John Sabato |
