Wes,
I'm not Ted, but I would recommend a reburial, with honor!! <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" /> |

Dang, Wes! Talk about humidity problems at my house, you must need an aqualung to get around your house! If this is the pride of your collection,I'll take up a fund-raiser and see about getting you a stainless luger.
If I don't get the under grip corrosion stopped on my DWM it's going to look like that. Stevie. |

Looks like some sharpshooting G.I. blasted it out of the German solder's hand, and took him prisoner, I bet. Incidently, please accept my apology on behalf of the little green icon guy, I didn't realize he was going to stick his tongue out at you.

You need a new gunsmith. He did a lousy job on the muzzle brake.... too far back; only one side; etc.

I don't speak for Thor, but in this case, the only refinishing I can recommend would be black Rustoleum...
It would make a great Umbrella or Cane handle or a Gear shift knob... Were you able to determine it's origin Wes? What vintage is this old soldier from?

Looks like a good candidate for Bondo and a candy paint job.
