Question on type 4 mag
What would a lower case "a" signify on the back spine of a magazine? Its a type 4 aluminum bottom mag, serial numbered. It is at the bottom right above the aluminum bottom.

Hi Mike,
Here is a link to a picture of my black plastic bottom fxo mag with the "a" stamped on the spine. I know it is a rare marking but I have never heard anyone speculate on what it means. http://lmd-militaria.com/page473.html Regards, Leon |

Leon,
That is it exactly! It is stamped on the back of the magazine from my post regarding the byf41 with two magazines numbered 1 and 2. There is question about the authenticity of the mags. Police numbered type mags, serial numbered to the gun, no sear safety. Mike |
