value of P38 lugar

I am a newbie no knowledge of lugars. My mother has my fathers lugar from the war and I was wondering where to get the most value from it. The markings are P.38 ac 44 6629d I believe a small German eagle on the other side. Brown handle leather holster and even some bullets. Any help would be appreciated, mom needs to sell.

You have a P38 made by Walther in 1944; not a Luger, however the caliber is 9mm Luger.

For anyone to give an honest estimate, we will need to see pics of the pistol and holster.

Its not a Luger, but rather a P38, pictures would help, and specifics on proof marks would also be of help to putting a price on it......surf Simpsons to the left here under "inks and resources"and see if that helps value your gun......welcome to the forum
