Erfurt Magazines
I have a 1914 Erfurt artillery(SS# 6964). Its a nice gun however both magazine bottoms are badly damaged. Can these be replaced (and who can do that) or would I be better off just buying a corect used magazine? And what is the correct magazine for this gun"

Hi Jim, The correct mag for a 1914 Erfurt would have two Crown/Gothic inspection marks like the one shown. They're not easy to find. Good luck, Norm

Jim, Gerald Tomek in Phoenix can replace your broken bottoms and save your magazines. He makes a beautiful wood bottom in the correct color and style. If I am not mistaken he even uses period wood he finds in old rifle stocks.
You will be pleased..all of the work he has ever done for me has been spectacular. gctomeks@msn.com
