I think that John used a bright (no bluing) finish on some lugers, so not stainless - although this is sure stainless looking...

There is a Marz baby and a "navy", on GBroker at about the same price range; have been for a while.

I'm curious, would a non-original luger even be legal with a stock?
The one on GI is a non-original caliber and bbl length(if measured correctly); and
I'm guessing a significantly modified frame and receiver.

Default JVM finish...

He called it his, "Satin White" finish, but it was identical to the finish he used for rust blue... For most of the time I knew him, Charles Danner was his go to blue guy, and for good reason, top, top notch work, and reasonably priced! Merry Christmas Charles if you see this, Happy New year to all....GT
