Post Sic Semper Tyrannis

Let's all hoist a glass to the 101'st. Ouday and Qusay have joined their collective 144 virgins and are now eating camel dung and awaiting the arrival of carrion beetles, maggots and their father. Good show airborne!

I bet they were held back, an artillery strike would have been effective, if devastating to the neighborhood.

I was glad to see these killers brought down and ole dad, hopefully isn't far down the path of redemption.

They could have used a bomb, but they wanted idenitifiable bodies, not itty bitty pieces. If the bodies were not clearly identifiable, the Iraqi "loyalists" and the American liberals (same thing) would have claimed it was another Bush lie.

Might make it tougher for the Democratic nutso who wants to restore the "legitimate government" of Iraq, meaning put Saddam and his clique back in power.

Gents,
As someone who was in "show buisness", the way these things go down is what is known as a "cordon and knock". You cordon off the bad guys with as much firepower as you can deliver to surround the place, then send in a Lieutenant and Staff Sergeant to knock on the door.

If no answer is received, you resort to a bullhorn. Then, you crash the door,
If fire is received, drop back, use the bullhorn and wait a few minutes, then repeat.

It is an iterative process, but after a while, depending on the ferocity of returned fire and the priority of the targets, the OIC brings up the heavy metal. Order of escalation is typically 6.2, then 7.62, then .50 then whatever is available. Bangalores and LAWS were my particular favorites as I was generally operating with a very small team.

Works really good.

Reading about how Uday and Qusay Dirt-bag got their just deserts in the Melbourne Herald-Sun today left me feeling a little sick and mightly pissed-off(please pardon the "colonial" language). The bloody South-Bank Socialist made these two mongrels sound like heroes.

Try this
"Uday and Qusay went down fighting side by side in the violent tradition of their clan, in a three-hour blaze of gunfire with US forces in Iraq yesterday"

or

"Barricading themselves in a fortified villa in Mosul, 390km north-west of Bagdad, Uday and Qusay resisted 300 US soldiers backed by helicopters and machineguns for several sweltering hours."

The journalist who wrote this drivel needs a swift kick "somewhere the sun don't shine" or better still to find another job.

Enough of my sounding off, WELL DONE YANKS!

NOT but Right ON!

Congressional representative Charles Rangel, D-NY, in his senility had the audacity to refer to this act of heroism and law enforcement as Assassination! And this guy is on the Ways and Means Committee! Who votes for guys like this?

If they had attempted this with only a platoon and had taken casualties (we did suffer 4 heros being wounded in this action even with all the firepower) the liberals would have complained about inadequate force... there is just no winning with people of this mentality... they just hate the fact that President Bush is being successful... and they want political power back in Washington...

This was NOT assassination! but an act of apprehension of two of the top three fugitives of an oppressive regime that is no more in a country we DEFEATED... they were more than war criminals... they were scum that enslaved restrained the economic progress of their own people while they lived a life of luxury... it is just a shame that the guy who sired them wasn't in the same room... Saddam you are next!

Our Troops are fighting in a righteous cause... and I support them 100%

God Bless our Troops, our President, and this administration for the guts to preempt what would have been potentially the greatest terrorist act the world could have ever seen... Nuclear, Biological or Chemical terrorism in our borders or overseas...

{soapbox mode OFF}

Probably seems like $2.00 but that was only my

John, you're preaching to the choir. Rangel, IMO, outdid himself for stupid statements yesterday and was completely out of line. He's a moron, proving it yet again with such idiotic comments. Those two were deserving of death. I applaud our troops for taking them out and hope "Daddy" follows quickly.
