Preference in Cars?
Ok, I think I know that everyone's favorite hand gun is the P.08. But I am curious as to what kind of sports cars you all like?
Me I was into Trans Ams when younger, but bought my little black 1988 911 Turbo Look Carerra in 1996. From then until now I can't seem to let go of it! Much like a Luger it is well made and always turns heads!

I have always loved cars, especially fast ones. Back in the '50s my favorite was a much modified '50 Ford hot rod. Broke a lot of gears and clutches, but won a lot of drag races--also went home on the rope a few times (very embarrasing).
Later switched to Mustangs, never wanted to spend really big bucks on foreign stuff. Probably my favorite was an '89 5.0 fastback (140 mph car bought with 9,000 miles for $10,000). Pretty cost effective and great for commuting in NY city traffic--hit 90 most mornings. My wife hated the hard riding Mustang--now that I'm retired I have a 17,000 mile '86 Lincoln Mark VII (mostly a garage queen) and a '97 Crown Vic. It holds lots of stuff and will pull my ski boat (pretty fast too, ask most cops). The wife loves them both.

My favorite sports car is a 1930 Model A Sport Coupe. It was my first car. When I bought it in 1957, it was sitting in a field with chickens roosting in it. I spent two years cleaning up rust and chicken deposits. I rebuilt the engine, painted it Cadillac metallic maroon, stitched up a white roll and pleated naugahyde interior, drove it to college, and dated my future wife in it.
I still have it, and after sitting in storage, indoors and out for over 30 years, it is going to be torn down and restored to original. Oh, and yes, I am still married to the lovely young lady the I dated back then...and when the Model A is running again, we intend to pick up the dating where we left off.

Z28 Chrevrolet any year... I've owned several, and generaly don't need repair, except for rear tires and oil change. Vehicle's come and go, but a fine woman is much more satisfying! And she can buy you more weapons and cars?

Tac,
You're right I just want to add that my interest in overengineered German toys means I'm both interested in lugers and Mercedes-Benz W126 S-classes <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> |
