Fake Krieghoff on GB
Good lord, but this faker had to have an IQ lower than the caliber of the gun! He obviously did not even bother to consult a reference book when concocting this rare piece. Krieghoff fake
Notice the uniform stamping of the letters. Next you will see the Rare "K" for Krieghoff on the toggle! To his credit the seller is calling a spade a spade. |

Doug, What a shame! He, or someone, has defaced what looks like a fine Mauser commercial with no proofs on the right receiver.

Doc,
If you go to the Gun Broker link, one photo shows a vertical C/N on the left side receiver...imagine this was a 'sanitized" DWM 1920's commerical...wonder if the serial numbers are intact...? |

Would there be an instance where a (notoriously?) faked Luger might have more value than the gun it ruins?
Just a thought. I doubt that it would make much sense to restore it back to original, considering it would already be significantly devalued.

Lablover is trying to take someone for a ride! I knew that I had seen this gun for sale earlier. He bought it on Auction Arms for $595 last month. I emailed him the following today.
Quote:
Auction Arms apparently does not allow you to link to a closed auction. Do a closed item search for this number 6839152 |

DOUG I BOUGHT THE GUN WITH THE PURPOUS OF HAVE IT CUSTOM ENGRAVED LIKE THE 1918 DWM I HAVE FOR SALE. BUT THE LETTERING ON THE SIDE IS REALY DEEP SO IT WOUNT WORK FOR ME. THE GUN IS A LOT NICER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE SO I PUT A HOLSTER I HAD WHIT IT AND PUT IT BACK FOR SALE. I WILL HAVE TO BUY A DIFFERANT GUN TO WORK ON. THANKS DEAN |
