Emil Schmidt sear-bar safety

I just want to share these pictures of a unique design that was prototyped during the Weimar era.
I purchased this Luger manufactured by DWM 1916 and reworked by Erfurt in 1920. The gun was issue to Hanover Police. This particular gun has the Sear safety designed by Emil Schmidt of Hamburg, Germany with patent number 1,228,449 of July 25, 1932 and grip strap marked P.S.A. 399. This safety designed was rejected in favor of the Schiwy-Sicherung.
I have included pictures for your viewing. I was told that this information can be verified in Weimar Lugers by Jan C.Still. I do not have the book, so I am not sure.
Explanation of pictures:
Note that the top left picture is from a 1916 Luger. The picture on the right is from the prototype Luger. Compare the Sear bar plunger with the one on the left picture. It is slightly longer than the other.
The bottom pictures are from both gun's side plate. Notice the indentation on the top corner of the side plate from the prototype Luger (top side plate in left picture and bottom side plate in right picture).
