Two unit marked Lugers
New to the forum and would like to share two of my unit marked Lugers. 1. 1915 DWM 4" military. Foregrip marked: AMT LOHBRUGGE. I was informed that LOHBRUGGE is a borough of Hamburg. Is this a police marking? It also has a sear safety. 2. 1908 First Issue Military. 4" DWM. 12.R.7.1. 12th Inf.,7th Co., Weapon #1. Thanks, fpp4440.

Welcome to the forum Frank, your Lugers sound like they would be welcome additions to any Luger collection, if you are able, post some photos and I have no doubt you will get a lot of comments.

It's 12th Infantry Regiment, not 12th Infantry. 12th Bavarian Regiment was part of the 2nd Bavarian Infantry Div. 1st Army Corps.
2nd Div. was deployed to Russia from 1914 until 1917. Then it was transferred to Belgium and to France Dec. 1917. It was never used in assaults, but used to hold captured sectors. They suffered very heavy losses in July 1918 and never fully recovered.
