Re: byf41
Ron, more information is really needed, just to give an approximate guess for value. Look to the left for Technical Information and General Information, they give you the steps to give the forum enough information.
Condition and rarity are the two keys on value, if it is all matching, in excellent shape (high percentage of the blueing remaining) and has extra or special markings on it, then it might be worth a lot more. Ed |

BW Price...
Ron,
The '41 byf with authentic black plastic grips I just bought was $ 1, 295.00 from Ralph Shattuck at WOL. I would rate it at 97-98%. The Blue Book has this luger at 98% for $ 995.00. Then you add another 30% for the grips. My "Black Widow" is all matching and has a matched fxo type 3 aluminum bottomed magazine. It's serial number places it in the correct range to have had the factory issue it with the black grips, which are near mint.. It has just enough holster wear, bore wear, and a few blemishes to make it an "honest" gun with history. Compared to 3-4 other BW's I have seen in person in California with asking prices of $ 1,000 to $ 1,200 and only at 80-95%; I was very happy to pick this one up. I cannot complain about my purchase, other than to say I would have liked a lower price, but don't we all... |
