Default WTK: Availability of repro art rig straps, etc.

I'm probably peeing in the wind with this question, but are there any sources for repro leather boots and connecting straps for the luger artillery rigs. I have a nice orginal board stock and holster with the commonly missing connecting gear...

Give Tom Heller a shout... hellerarms@webtv.net He might be able to point you in the right direction. Also CMR International in the UK sells whole rigs maybe they might be able to help you... They're in our Links and Resources.

miner,

I bought a nice artillary leather rig complete except for the shoulder board stock from Sportsmans Guide several months ago for $79. I figured the quality would be poor, but I was shocked at what I got. It was Nice! The holster was made in India, but smelled like leather rather than a dead buffalo and it appeared to be cow leather. The straps were nice, etc. A good deal I thought. I put my original board stock with the holster and the rig really looks good. My Luger is 97% (approx) which goes with it and the package shows real well. I just need a little dirt and a few scuffs to make it look original. By the way, none of the leather has any stamps of any type. I also think SARCO has this same outfir for a few dollars more.

Default There is a guy who sells on eBay pretty regularly

who makes replacement parts for Luger leather accessories...like artillery and navy stock boots, and holster straps. He doesn't have anything there at the moment because I just searched...

I can't recall his name at the moment, but perhaps someone else here knows who I am talking about and can post about him. As I recall, he is from the southwest and his screen name on eBay is leatherrepair, or holsterrepair, or lugerleather or something like that.

He isn't cheap, but the photos I have seen of his work are pretty good...

Anybody out there know who this guy is? or have done business with him?

-John
