Default Photo Problems

Help!

I am having all sorts of photo problems. I don't know much about computers and that may be part of the problem.

I want to post some photos of guns I want to sell here on this forum and I don't know how.

I have looked through old postings and somehow I get the idea that photos must be 180K or smaller. Is there some software which will automatically size my much larger photos to that size?

I have an account at smugmug.com and can post photos there; but there is no size limit at that site (not free though; and just for photos).

I read that members can post on the member gallery but the member gallery won't let me log in! It also won't let me even register.

Is there a tutorial on Luger Forum Photo Postings for Dummies? If there is, I need to read it!

Regards;

David Jackson

Yes in new collector area. I sent you a PM, if these don't help you.

Especially look at the Microsoft resizer, it is a great tool.

I would also like to share my collection on the forum, however even though I have resized my photos correctly and they are succesfully uploaded to the server I do not understand the cut and paste instructions in the upload operation. Cut and paste to where????? I know it must be simple but I am failing to grasp the directions properly. I would appreciate some help.
Thanks, Craig

Craig, right now I am writing in the YOUR REPLY box, you could cut and paste the url here. The URL is the line you cut and paste (Or copy and paste)...

The BEST place to do a posting is either NEW TOPIC or ADD REPLY. They obviously mean just what they say, a new topic or adding a reply.

Click on one of them, and then write your gun write up.

IN THOSE AREAS, you can post ONE picture at a time.

In the upload box, you can upload one picture, and then ENSURE you copy that url. You CAN NOT upload, then upload the 2nd and the 3rd WITHOUT copying one link at a time. (Unless you use the clipboard, but that is another step.

Simply open a new topic, write your info in it, then upload the photo. COPY the URL and paste it into the new topic area. Go BACK to the upload and upload another, then COPY AGAIN and paste into your NEW TOPIC area.

print this out and then try.

Ed, thank you very much for the directions. I have made a copy of them and will try again.
