Default Toggle Disassembly help

I would like to disassemble the whole toggle, but im having trouble drifting the verticle pin that holds the axle pin in place in the knurled part. I also havent been able to remove the pin that holds the coupling link to the rear toggle part. Any help would be appreciated. Also unrelated, are those pins all fire blued? and is the extractor strawed, fire or rust blued.

The first thing you have to do is make sure that you remove the small retaining pin that keeps the main pin from shifting. You remove the small pin by pushing it from the bottom out. After you remove it you may drive out the large pin from left to right. The small pin that couples the breech block to the center link comes out the same direction.

the breech block to center was a piece of cake, its the rear part to the arm that connects to the spring that is giving me trouble

Doug, Since the left side of the mid axel has a rim, I'd suggest driving it out from right to left. Since the front axel is not tapered, the direction of removal is optional on that. On unreworked rust blued lugers these axels will be fire blued and salt blued after mid 1937. Quite often, the recoil link pin will be difficult to remove with a punch and pressing out with a hydralic press, is the only other option, but unless the link is defective, why remove it. TH
