Default frame question

are the feed ramps and other "in the white" areas of the frame on the P08 surface hardened, or?

I believe the parts were heat treated to harden them up to one degree or another. I have a copy of Mauser(?) factory alloy and hardness specs, by individual part, that another member posted during my query about the alloy and hardness of extractors. The feed ramp wouldn't be any harder than the rest of the barrel extension, though.

Dave, can you post a link to that hardness info?

Rich, I was too bleary last nite to find it, and not much better off at this moment! When I look for it, I'll start in off-topic to look for the thread about Erma extractors--I was applying Luger parameters to the creation of replacements for the KGP series guns by Erma. If not there, then the repairs section. I'm hoping you beat me to it...
