Default question on magazine id

Hello Gents
A good gun friend of mine visited today and had a question about the following luger magazine.
I have seen these markings before and I think it is a fairly uncommon mag. He owns a mid 1920's DWM police luger and was wondering if this is a correct style mag for his gun? This mag was with the gun.I should probably know this.Getting old sucks!
Thanks for the help!
Bob

Hi Bob, the magazine is for a K-Date (1934) Luger. It's kinda rare, since only about 11000 K-Date pistols were produced (22000 K-Date Magazines). Hope this helps s little!!

so, the answer is, no, its not the right type

I bet he could trade it very fast for a 'correct' police magazine.

Thank you for the help!
I will let my friend know.
He also got a nice nickle wood bottomed mag with Germany stamped on it.I am trying to swap him that one to go with my alphabet commercial. Interesting how a so-so luger can come with cool mags!

That's what happened when my dealer got that bling Luger and the shooter Erfurt in last Summer. This K date mag is worth $300+ to the right buyer.
