Another 1900 AE

Hi, I'm new to this site. I have a 1900 American Eagle Lugar that has a four digit serial number 76XX. All numbers match. It does not have Germany stamped on it. The last two digits of the serial are stamped on the left hand side of the gun on the take down lever. The magazine is a wooden bottom without a number. The blueing is about 80-85%, straw 50%, grips somewhat smooth ... the old girl has been around. It came with a Portuguese holster. I have had this lugar plus two LP.08's and P.08 for twenty plus years. Just thought I would share this with you. Regards, Randy

Welcome to the forum, we would like to see some pictures of your gun, from all angles?

Just so you know, that the parabellum was improved and the design finalized by Georg Luger, there is a short history of the gun and Georg in the General Information section, if you have time to take a look.

I have just updated the list of US Test Trial Lugers that can be found on page 2 of the Member Gallery. The list currently has six 1900 Lugers in the 7600 serial number range listed among those Lugers that have characteristics of the US Test Trials Luger but are above the Ã¢??acceptedÃ¢?Â range of 6100 to 7100. The serial numbers in this group are:
7604
7611
7620
7644
7659
7697
If your Luger is not one of these six, may I please have the last two digits of the serial number so that I may add it to the list? Thank you.

Welcome to our little forum! The more the merrier in this madness. We are looking forward to seeing some pictures. If you do not have a camera, a flatbed scanner does a reasonable job.

Would it be possible to have a look under the cannon chamber, just forward of the lug ?
It is of interest to acertain if the third version of the "Flaming Bomb" appears there .
Take a look at the picture of Dwight Grubers in the post above yours on the following day.
Just checking on AE markings!

Viggo,
It is "out of range" since it is above the "generally accepted" range of 6100-7100. There are over 50 Lugers above 7100 having Test Trial characteristics that are recorded to date.
