Saw this for sale. Has a simple but interesting wire stock. Any comments on this? States that it is a Navy Luger c/w 3 mags. OOPs, may have put this in the wrong forum. Mods if you want t o move, please do. Sorry!

Hello
The wire stock is indeed interesting !! But the Luger is a reblued & rebarrelled 1936 pistol. Mk |

I think it´s self made by a good craftsman. I also picked up two different self made stocks. One seems to be very similar to yours.

The stocks shown are not technically legal on any luger, but interesting. I recall when these were being advertised over 40 years ago. Perhaps my eyes need correction, but the barrel on your shooter appears to be an 8" repro. TH

I agree that they are interesting, but IMHO clearly illegal. Imagine some BATF agent driving off down the street with all of your guns in his trunk. OK, making several trips. And your life/finances in limbo over the next 2 years. All because you brought one of those wire stocks home. A small thing but they do not choose to prosecute cases based on intent. They prosecute cases that they can win.
Do not violate NFA regs! If you want a stocked Luger, buy an Artillery shooter with repro. stock. My $.02. dju |

It's not illegal where it is located, so the seller and potential buyer will have no concerns.
