Default GT Update?

Is there any new information on GT and his family?
We are part of his family and are concerned.

Dick, I have not heard a word for going on 3 days? Last news I got was they were transfering back to Phoenix. Carol by land ambulance and Jada by air. All com went dead after that. Knowing some little bit of this sort of thing I suspect GT is very busy with arrangements on Phoenix. When you think of it even coming back from a normal vacation trip would take a lot of effort. Mail, laundry, animals..grocery shopping on and on but GT has the added burden of arranging hospitals, appointments, transportation..maybe funeral arrangements. So it's to be expected that he is on the run.

As an aside..So far the Forum Members have generously donated around $4,850 give or take. Ellie will have an exact accounting when checks stop trickling in a week or so.We initially sent PP $ as it was the first to arrive, I am mailing $2,000 in MO's this morning.

I want to thank all of you who participated so generously with contributions. I know this will be a welcome boost and a great help to GT in this horrific tragedy.

Thumbs up

Jerry, once again, hats off to you for organizing this response.

As a hospital CEO in a small town I experience so many neighbors and acquaintances with family medical emergencies and the personal stories. A critical element is having friends that care and provide support during the difficult times. Jerry, you exemplify that role model.

Default back form the edge of hell!!!

Hi guys! I'm back, Jada is home, Carol, accompanied by a fellow nurse, flew home yesterday, commercial airline, she is in a therapy hospital here in the valley, actually the Hospital she works in... Jada will recover completely, probably not so for Carol, but we are adjusting to the new normal, as we're been informed that is the task at hand....
That being said, I am totally reduced to tears and humbled by the act of kindness shown to my family by Jerry Burney... I haven't the words for the appreciation of what has been done by the forum members for my family.... As I mentioned earlier, if there are better people out there than our forum people, I have not yet met them, and suspect I never will... Our forums are without equal, and I will be eternally thankful for the kindness shown... The fund will go toward the necessary rehab equipment, and of course, somewhere down the road a dog for Jada.. (it was Carols sisters dog, but it was almost human!) I can't thank the forum members, moderators, and owners enough.... God bless you all.... I sincerely hope this type of thing does NOT repeat itself for me, or any of us! We have had enough of sadness .. Time to celebrate Lugers again.... Best to all, til....lat'r.....GT

GT, Glad to hear some good news! No place like home. Sent a pkg today and it's signature required. A #4 Priority. There is a little doggy in the box for Jada...One of Ellie's favorites.Give both Carol and Jada a gentle hug for me.

Donald, Thanks for the kind words. I just beat the drums...the warriors came running to help when they heard the call. I was speaking with a good friend, Mark Baker yesterday about prayers..he told me of an old Farmers saying that I will use again.. that "It is good to pray, and it is good to dig. But it is best to pray and dig."
