Rust Bluing Solution
Has anyone used Brownells Classic Rust Blue?
Rust bluing is labor intensive and it is discouraging if the color is not correct for a Luger. |

Dick,
There's a thread here somewhere--I think it's a sticky--with info for adding saltpeter to the Brownell's solution in order to produce a better color match for Lugers. *edit* Found it! http://forum.lugerforum.com/showthre...icky+rust+blue

Actually, sodium nitrate. not potassium nitrate ( saltpeter). But yes, read the whole sticky and you'll have a good starting point.
