New guy with a G code
I purchased a 1935 G code Luger with serial 2589E from Simpsons. All parts match except mag and possible grips, mag is re-stamped and grips have no markings. Listed as 80% blue and 60% straw. I have lots of experience with and have several 1911A1 pistols but I'm new to this arena. I haven't got the pistol yet, it was on consignment and marked down from $2750 to $1485. I think I did well but kind of scary. Thoughts?

Hi Glenn,
Welcome to the forum! If it helps any, most G dates had unnumbered and unmarked grips. If the condition of the grips is consistent with the rest of the gun they are probably original. Regards, Norm |

Welcome to the forum. From what I see, you did just fine for your first Luger. Be aware, they are very addicting.....sort of like 1911A1s!!
