Some phrases
I find some phrases, a bit odd and in the collecting world. Although I have noticed a difference between some forums such as the CMP, or C&R forum, rather than just luger forum and Gunboards on responses.
My biggest pet peeve is probably when somebody writes a message and then they get to the end and say; Please respond or Please advise. That Should sound nice but I find it very funny that they’re on a forum and then they sound demanding?? Another is the in-attention to what part of the forum they are in. WTS or WTB - is that an appropriate place to comment? Especially when they’ve been a member for 5 or 10; years. Or on main Gunboards I see new members post a question in the WTS area... And some folks ask a question that a search on the forum or the faq or google would answer... I don’t mind, but I find that there’s a couple of members on any of the above forums that they do this consistently. They act like they have knowledge and then when it comes down to simple searches they don’t and they also own plenty of books and I’ve had a few of them tell me ,,,,,, but it’s so much easier to just ask on the forum then look it up. Ed, you are correct for sure.
Don't get me started about lazy people that won't or can't search read posts and then expect answers in minutes! I'll add one more- PLEASE put WTB or WTS in the title of your post if you are buying or selling- It is obvious of course if one is in that forum- but on the daily summary- the name of the sub-forum is lost- so one cannot tell if it is a Buy, Sell, or discussion post. OOPS, and one more- Please put a subject in the subject line, not some dumb statement like "question" or "what do I have", or "help". And another, please don't "tag" on to an old post. Start your own! Posts are free and it gets way too confusing with more than one "luger" in a single post; us old dummies get confused- don't want that to happen.

I call those old dusty posts that get a new life "Zombie Posts"... They happen in most forums, but seem to happen a bit more often here.
It's almost that reading a discussion from long ago peaks an interest, and suddenly the thread gets a new life!!! You can always open a new thread and post a link back to the thread that got you started thinking...

Yes, we all do it "different", I've never used the Quick links. I'll have to look and see what is there!
