Albuquerque this weekend
Going to take a break from landscaping this weekend and relax at the Alb. gunshow. I know Bob Adams will be there and John Eckert will set up his display Saturday morning (he is off fishing, I think in Colorado, this week and won't get back till late Friday). Ron Peterson will probably trot out some collectable stuff. Anybody else? Sid? Ted? Don?

Ron,
Won't be able to be there. But if Bob Adams is, you might see if you can get a serious look at the Test Eagle-sans-Eagle that he has had for sale for a while. --Dwight |

I looked at it at last year's show and measured it against my Test Eagles. I agree with Bob that the gun looks like it never had a crest. The chamber area did not look ground, but as I recall it measured .002 to .004 smaller in diameter than mine. I measured at the front of the receiver, half-way back and across the recoil lug. I don't know if that is enough to remove a crest or not. I wrote the measurements down in a little notebook, but I don't know where it is right now. If I find it, I will let you know the measurements.

Hi Ron,
I plan on being there on sometime Saturday morning. The Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta starts this weekend so the it should not be to crowded in the morning. Hopefully we will be able to see some good stuff. It will be good to see you again. I will look for you over at Bob's table. Sid.
