Default Help wanted with holster unit stamps

I recently acquired an excellent 1911 dated holster with the unusual addition of an arrangement to accomodate what I assume to be, a cleaning rod. Whilst I'd appreciate further information on that, the holster itself is profusely stamped and I'm having trouble identifying those stamps. Any help would be appreciated.
The exterior carries the stamps J.W.G 116 (possibly an 8 rather than a 6) and 1538. The interior of the flap is marked FAR 11 and HR 5. Impressed into the leather in the same area is BAX?? Over to you gentlemen.

Hi Simon, Welcome to the forum! F.A.R.11. stands for Field Artillerie Regiment. No. 11. H.R.5 probably Hussar Regiment, No 5. B.A. followed by a Roman numeral, for Bekleidungs-Abteilung, there were 21 of these clothing and equipment depots for the different Army Corps. The markings on the outside look like Reichswehr period marks and someone else will have to interpret them for you. I hope this helps. Regards, Norm

Hi Norm, many thanks for the swift reply and for all your input. Thanks also for your greetings to the forum. Now that you've identified the early markings, I'll keep my fingers crossed for more information on those from the Reichswehr period. Very best regards, Simon

Simon
The ootside marking is definately From the Weimar period. The J.W.G. is " Inspektion fur Waffern und Gerat " followed by the weapon number. It appears that this was crossed out and another weapon number 1538 added. A nicely marked holster with lots of history. I am sure someone with more unit knowledge will reply. Welcome to the forum. Bill

Hi Bill. Thank you for solving the final part of the puzzle. It would be nice to know if either of the guns has survived but since the UK has had numerous firearms amnesties over the last 60years or so, I doubt it. Sad, but true. Best regards, Simon

I would wonder if it is the Feld Artillerie Regiment Nr.5.
I think it is Fs. A. R. 11 for Fuss Artillerie Regiment Nr.11 and Husaren Regiment (Fürst Blücher von Wahlstatt) Nr.5.
Both regiments were parts of the XVII Army Corps. That would go with the B.A. (Bekleidungs Amt) stamp.
Best regards from Germany
Klaus
