CAI Luger
I have gotten a lot of good advice on not shooting an all matching collectable, so I have been looking around and have found a Century Arms marked Luger. I know that this was a "Russian Capture" with mixed parts and has been "dipped" or refinished.
What is a fair price for CAI Russian Capture used for a range gun? |

Kind of a tough question to answer based on available info. but in general I'd ballpark it around $800. However there is some collector interest in RC guns, so on that basis I may be all wet. But I'd certainly not pay more.

Be aware that some VoPo/RC Lugers have been described as having a tar-like finish rather than just a blue dip. I have an RC P38 with the dip and it looks quite good IMO.

Price varies so much depending on where you live, the amount of Lugers available for sale, etc. I my part of the Country, $8-900 is well within the range for a fully functional, shooter Luger in reasonable condition.

I agree with the above, with the caveat that - rougher looking - many mixed parts - worth less
Sweet looking or more desirable type, date - goes up in value - I paid like $1100 for a Simson Vopo and was pleased to pay it. Ed |

That seems like a bargain price now
