I have a p-38 that was removed from a deceased german officer and can't id it through jones's lugar variations book.It has some standard features that are shown in the book but some that are not such as the grip and rear sights. it has a buckle strap holster with several insignias on it also for some reason all the markings don't seem to corispond to a specific year.is there an e-dress that I can send some pics to help id this. I plan on selling it for my friends widow but expect a fair price.thanks

A P-38 is not a Luger, they both just fire the same ammunition...that is why Jones book can't help you. You can send your photos to lugerforum@gmail.com and I will take a look and see if I can help you.
