Default 78 Carlgesso

I have a DWM 1917 Artillery in fair condition, but with the stock lug ground off. It was called a NY cut once. Only one mismatched number is on the side takedown plate. The SS # is 68XX. It's a good shooter and I'm offer only $650. The magazine is a S ord. 2 mark and Ser #6676 and I've been told it's by Simsom and could be worth more that the gun. I do have an Italian repo to shoot with. Any ideas. Some pitting and fair bore, but it looks good.

Welcome to the forum, I would love to see the magazine, if a Simson, in perfect shape it would be worth $200-$250, but it would have an eagle 6...

An Eagle/2 mark on your magazine would indicate it was proofed at Krieghoff.

The Luger would, indeed, be a "shooter" but could be worth more than $650 depending on condition.

Need to see pictures to tell you more... Take them using indirect light and a tripod, with the closeup setting on your digital camera.

Thanks Gentlemen for the quick replies. I'll attempt to get some shots and the make on the mag looks almost like a two humped camel ( is that the Eagle)?
Sincerely,
