Lugerforum patches- are available again!
I have turned over the responsibility of patches to Jim, I believe they may be available in the near future from him.

The patches arrived today.....note, only the original blue ones at this time. I am not sure how this will work, so please give me some insight. I believe that I do not wish to use Paypal, but only money orders as payment---your thoughts on this. Payment by personal check would require clearance before filling the order. Please let me know your thoughts, and we can get started with this. Jim |

Hi Jim!
When I get back from work tomorrow evening - I'll setup and program the order page for you on my servers (this server, actually )... When it's set, I'll post back in this thread OK? I should be pretty easy for you to take orders and fulfill them from that form on the LugerForum site... Best to you - and thanks again for taking this on for all the folks! John D. |

Hi Jim and all.!
Not sure if you had noticed, but the form is setup and working on the LugerForum website. Folks can use that form to contact you via e-mail with their name, mailing address, etc.. As well, as soon as you decide on what payment types you'd like, I can add that to the page as well...! John D. |

Jim, use paypal. It will make your life quite a bit easier, and is less costly for everyone ordering the patches. Price the patches so that you cover the paypal fee...
Paypal also allows you to clear credit cards in addition to their direct bank transfers. Marc

John,
Let us go ahead with PayPal and USPS money order. We might indicate that only the original blue patch is available at this time. I believe the price should be set at $5.50. Any thoughts on any of this? Jim |

Sure! Can you post your PayPal address?? I can link in a PayPal store link from that webpage (when I get the chance to do so).
As well - did your test work out you sent earlier from that form handler? I won't bother you with all the code I wrote to make it work. Thanks, John |

Jim, here is my experience and you can steal my words from my police lugers for sale...
Offer to do Money Orders and Paypal (I have always taken checks and never, ever had a bad experience). For Paypal, request the people either pay the fee or send as a gift / thus no fee for you. Paypal is easy and makes it done and over with for you. Ask that folks send you their address in the REMARKS section, otherwise, you have to send them an email asking for it. other hints 1. I keep a separate folder in my Outlook Mail where I drop all the sales emails pertaining to the item 2. I keep a folder at home with the checks/money envelopes, when I deposit in the bank, I write the amount on the envelope (i.e. if more than 1 item, 2 items, etc) 2. I keep an Excel document where I copy and paste each person's info, how many of the item they wanted etc - I only do this for more complicated sales, the books, raffle etc, you may not care Ed

The patches measure 4" at their widest points, so would fit into a 4" square.......this "curved triangle" is called a rolleaux triangle.......a class of curves of constant breath...the original designers on luger forum did a great job in their design of this patch. I use this on my jacket and on some of my display materials for my P08s. At this time, only the blue patch (the original design) is available.

It has worked fine. I simply issue an invoice to Paypal, and the buyer then pays to my account. So things are fine, and a sincere thanks to you. By the way, I am a mathematician in my day job, and have been pleased that you guys who designed the patch used the rolleaux triangle in the border......this is a mathematically interesting figure. Great jobs to the designers.....so please share with all involved. Jim Jim |
