Default Beware of "Brass" Brushes

Lugerforum Colleagues,

I purchased a quantity of disposable brushes to clean guns that are advertised as being brass brushes. However, they are actually brass-plated steel. They are magnetic. I note that other brands of these brushes on Amazon appear to be the same product. Beware!

Karl, thanks for the heads-up and reminder that one must be so careful buying on line. Not only does one need to carefully read the descriptions but one must be skeptical of low prices. That vendor should be reported. 30 brass brushes for $9 would be a great deal if they were truly brass. We all look for value, but sometimes paying more is the best deal.

The fact that the ad says "for cleaning welding slag and rust" should tip you off that it ain't good for grooming your moustache or favorite Luger.
