1906 Presentation Luger
In Kenyon's "Lugers at Random (LAR)" he documents these Luger and says only less than ten examples were made under GL's supervision (so marked on the rear toggle back). Is there any other books that document these? Who owns them and how are they all marked as far as an inscription goes? There is only one example shown with the initials MM (probably not Mickey Mouse, but who???) Page 108 LAR Any more info on these???

As Rick W. rightly pointed out, most of the presentation Luger pistols with monograms on the chambers were on the 1900 Lugers and most were cased without the 'GL' hallmark. I believe that the serial range of these presentation/gift pistols fell in the 5000 range. I do have a few serial numbers of these Lugers in my notes which are unaccessible at the moment.
If I was to take a guess where a 1906 'GL' Presentation Luger (with monogram) would fall, I would say in the 55000 serial range. Albert Imperial Arms |

Thor,
Shouldn't be too hard to track down "MM." You've eliminated Mickey Mouse, I'll cross off Marilyn Monroe, and in a few more posts we'll have it! |
