Default question on safeties

I have a question about safeties. Going only on pictures, it appears that there are three variations, one that would allow the action to be worked with the safety engaged (there is a long space between the projection on the trigger bar and the safety bar); second that working the action would move the safety off it it had been engaged (the safety bar is slanted to the rear so it would be cammed down to the off position); and third one that locks the action so that it cannot be operated with the safety engaged (the safety bar is slanted forward so will not be cammed down). Have I got this right? My lugar has the third type.

Gary, I moved your posting to its own thread, since it was not really the same question as the thread you posted in. further made it so you will receive emails when someone answers.

Welcome to the forum!
