My shooter
I have a .30 shooter here. I do have the wooden grips that came with it, but I put these plastic grips to protect them. I expected it to have been reblued/rebuilt through its life even though the serial number in barrel matches the rest of the gun. the really lousy detail picture of its left side is supposed to show a N with a crown over it.
Could anyone tell me how old it is and so on? I would take it was but a DWM commercial model which due to its rebuilding (see how numbers in barrel are all but gone) and rebluing and no matching parts has no value besides being a shooter. Which is fine with me; I want to shoot it, not to have a safe queen. |

Welcome to the forum, Supreme. Is that your actual first name?
Even though all the "history" has been buffed off, this should be a great shooter for you. But now you're infected with "Luger-itis" and this may not be your only Luger, after not too long!

Hi, and welcome to the forum.
I can't make out the suffix letter in your photo of the front of the frame serial number. If it's a "k", your Luger would be a "DWM Alphabet Commercial" from the 1923 timeframe in Weimar Germany. If it's a "p" it would be 1924 or so... The grips you installed are of a type used by the Russians on rebuilt captured Lugers. Marc
