Rust Bucket on eBay
Just to keep Ted up to date. His next job just sold for $160 on ebay. Wow, I can't believe anyone would pay that price for a rusty paper weight. I sure would like to know what they are going to do with it???????

Re: Rust Bucket on eBay
Frank, when you consider buying your next Luger ask yourself "Could this be the paperweight I could have had for only $160 on eBay? All of the con artists are getting so sly that they will probably carefully restore each part, restamp with the exact size and font dies, meticulously research the formulation of the original bluing and strawing, remachine on duplicated tooling any unavailable parts and *voila* have a virtually identical collector's piece. Only they will know that they spent thousands of hours and dollars only to trick someone. At least they won't be able to re-sell it on eBay. I think someone might have bought it just to say they had a Luger in their collection. Actually, it would make the rest of the collection look just that much better (a whole new perspective). I have seen a de-mil Thompson machine gun that was mint except that 50% of it had been stamped flat in a press. It sold for $125 years ago.
