Looks like a nice one. What are the markings on the right?

What is an S&S issue?

OGCA is Ohio Gun Collectors Association

Anybody who does not like the white printing is free to use the sandpaper- I don't mind.

Ah, that's cool. A moderator usually will ask you to put your location in your profile, so that nearby members can offer any help you might need (or if you're buying/selling, facilitate transfers).

I have no idea why you would see a need to mark your pics as being from a private collection...But sure, why not???

Your Luger looks good, although that fourth proof mark is somewhat unusual...Lightly struck, and uniformly shaped...I am the Devil's Advocate of the forum...

Thank you for your concern, but I am not worried about the fourth proof mark as long as there are two others on the lug.

I expect to see three acceptance and a final proof mark. Technically you have four but the small eagle is what? Since I think you know?

Ed,

I did not think what the small eagle is about and also wonder what the unit marking stands for?

Thank you

Actually, small eagle maybe a repair mark?

No solid proof, but I am sure it was probably a senior inspector, because you find it commonly, but not all the time, and they use the eagle RC for parts that did not pass first muster.

I will have to check on the marking.
