How much to donate?
I'd like to donate to the forum. How much $ is recommended or needed?

It is recommended $25 per year, but any amount is acceptable, more is always good for the cause!

I donated $25, but I hear that if you donate $2,000 or more, you get the special (rare) commemorative 1920 Albanian Commercial Luger as a thank you gift.

Greg, I see by your registration date, and the number of posts that you are a new member of the forum. Your kind offer of support is admirable, But unfortunately there is no guideline on how much or how often.
I have been a website admin and moderator on this forum for several years now... and a Luger enthusiast for over 40 years... I still manage to learn something new about them every day. You will not see any mention of how much someone has donated by the forum, although many may state it themselves... Be assured that anything you do donate to keep this forum open will be spent on just that... Be it $5 or $500 or more. Many long time users have judged the value of what they have learned here and used it as a guide on what they want to contribute. I know that on numerous occasions, consulting with the members here prior to a major purchase has saved many hundreds if not thousands of dollars by making sure that you are not made a sucker by an unscrupulous dealer who would charge you premium prices for a faked "rare" gun... Most Luger reference books that you can buy run $30 to $350 or more... what you can learn on this forum about Lugers is an aggregate of all the knowledge in those books, plus the combined experience and education of it's 3100 plus members and collectors world-wide. I don't know how to put a price on that kind of education on a favorite hobby. Give with your heart if you are so inclined... whatever you send will be used to keep this vast information resource available for years to come. Welcome to the Lugerforum... The link to send a donation is at the top right of every discussion page.
