There are metal detecting forums that I surf. I read a story by a German guy that dug up Lugers and such. It looks just like the picture he posted. Just like it.

It does look to have been underground for a while. I wonder how the grips have fared so well while all the small parts seem to be completely corroded away.

The German metel detecting guy said he replaced the grips. I will look for the magazine article and see if I can find the pictures. Probably easier said than done as I surf fast and quench my thirst even faster. <img src="graemlins/drink.gif" border="0" alt="[cherrsagai]" />
