Default Unit marked Simsons'

I have only owned one other Simson that was unit marked and for some reason sold it !
A couple of weeks ago a guy reached out to me from my simsonluger.com site (hosted by John D - thank you very much sir).
Each few months I will get a couple of leads - I always ask where it came from, any story, if selling, etc, besides answering each question. It leads to new Simson numbers for my database (again thank you John).
He mentioned he was keeping the 1911 (chromed or nickle), but the luger he was going to sell. A chromed (or nickle) simson. I said, I would be interested. We agreed upon a price that was fair to both of us and it arrived last Saturday.
Its nickel did not cover up the stampings much, it looks pretty decent, plus its unit marked! The A.S. 415 is Artillery School
It would have likely been made in 1928, 1929 time period.

Then of course I had been watching the 1925 from a collector friend dated 1925 Simson that was on Morphys last auction - I was given the go ahead to buy a luger on my birthday. But, not two lugers... well, at least I told her, better than secrets
The 1925 has a history - it was a Sturgess' item, its listed in his book (I like to own such guns , its a nice honest 1925, that has never been monkey'd with, and its a early 1925. AND its unit marked!! So, two in two weeks!
The unit marking translates to "Commanding officer's office for Hannover district. " (thank you Geo)

That's a super looking 1925 "repro" Ed. I like it!
