Tom,
You can send a private message by clicking on the user name on the right of the message. That will open a pull-down menu where one of the options is to send the user a private message. If you want to reply to a PM someone sent you, you can do this using the 'Private Messages' link at the left hand corner of the main screen. When you select a PM from the list, there will be a reply button underneath. |

Private Messages.
Gerben is correct. Just click on the persons name on the left side of their post and the pull down appears. There is also a "friendship" feature which I have not yet figured out what it is for, sort of an enhancement of the "buddy" feature.... ? ? ?

John, this is the same software as on Jan Still's forum (although .2 versions higher), the friends feature, along with a couple of others is for the yoounger crowd; i.e. like facebook and myspace, folks like to have "friends" and keep track of each other; you can see when someone is on-line etc, my little dot on the lower left is green as I am on-line, gray when off line.
I agree when someone asks me to be their friend, but think its a funny feature, showing my age I guess Ed |

Thanks Ed! Just like you... this is more information than I need to know or keep track of... (Old and proud of it!)
