1914 Erfurt at local gun store
Yesterday I just happened to visit the local gun store. They had just taken in on consignment a matching s/n 1914 Military Erfurt with one matching magazine and holster. The finish appeared dull and around 70-75%. The straw was 10% at best. The holster looked pretty good and was a dark brown, almost looked black. Included was the take down tool but I didn't look to see if it was a repo. I just didn't have time to stay longer and look at everything closely. Price: $1000 The finish was the turn off for me because my other three Lugers have been graded at 95%. What do you think? Good deal or just so-so.

brown holster, worth $150-$225 on e-bay, tool if original at least $45, so deduct $200 from the $1k and the gun is costing $800...
70% finish is fairly rough? So, an okay price, to me, nothing to jump on? blayne |

Hi:
Offer them $500. (after checking the bore's condition) and work from there. You may have to "work the deal" for a while to get it. The Luger isn't worth $1000.00 Sieger |
