The most practical adaptation of a Luger for use with a suppressor might be done by threading the area where the front sight now sits, and making a band/thread protector with a proper front sight mounted and aligned. This would be a bit pricy, but would make for an aesthetic solution. Another approach would be an integral suppressor, fitted to the barrel with a sight mounted at the end of the can. One just has to let go of the concept that ALL Lugers are meant to be collectors items and left original. Just like other guns, Lugers are also tools, and were meant to be shot. Adding suppression just makes them more FUN to shoot. That is why.
