Wow!! Thanks very much for the details! This is the first time I have heard that the Fiocchi's are too weak. I do have a 1917 DWM P08 in which 9 mm subsonics have shot well. It takes about the same amount of tension to pull both toggles all the way back until the holdopen pops up and engages.

The serial number is the same on the base of the barrel, the frame and the upper of the Swiss 06/29. The firing pin is not numbered- but didn't the Swiss take care to ensure that their parts were more interchangable than did their German counterparts? Therefore a matching Swiss gun does not have as many numbered parts as the German P08?

Obviously there is a lot I do not know- but these guns are fascinating
