Welcome to the forum

What I see,
A DWM (manufacturer) made in 1918, originally would have been 9mm for the army.
The 1920 is actually not a date but a gov't marking (see our FAQ in new collector area, https://forum.lugerforum.com/showthread.php?t=13121 )
This marking was to show it was inventoried and belonged to the military.

I would guess it came over to the USA after WW1 and before WW2, 7.65mm (30 luger) was easier to get than 9mm at that time.
NOTE - on the left side rail, just below the serial number, it says Germany - this shows it was exported to the USA.

Thank you for the info, any idea of the value ?
