Tom, that's my problem getting there from where I live in South Central Utah. The first hurdle is about 30 miles west of here, a pass at 8,385'. Then Hwy 50 all the way into Fernley NV with several passes above 7,000' out in the middle of nowhere with only one snowplow in each county, at least that's what it seems like. I have had to unexpectedly grab a motel room before in Ely NV, snowing so hard it was difficult to see and that was on the 6th of JUNE. I found a great site to check the weather before I go anywhere now, the forecasts are reasonably accurate most of the time. I keep it bookmarked now and check it reguarily.

Ron, back in the early 80's a guy that worked for me lived in the Bay area and really hated the traffic, when he got off work he would chug a half pint of that MD 20/20 before hitting the road, all of us called him Mad Dog. I prefer Ripple, T-Bird, or Boones Farm myself.
