It looks as if that case is being flipped backwards by the extractor and maybe hitting the breechblock...Not even hitting the ejector at all...

I've seen slow-motion movie clips of the M14 rifle ejecting - Before the shell can be thrown clear, the operating rod smacks it in mid-air and throws it forward, instead of to the side...I shot the M14 in boot camp, and cleaning/scrubbing the brass marks off the op rod was a tedious chore...

You should have brass marks on your breechblock too, I would think...
