Default Fremont, NE gun show

I walked thru the local gun show this weekend and had a couple of observations.
The building was just packed with lookers beyond any shows that I recall. I overheard several displayers saying that all of the local shows are having their best shows ever, as interest or at least attendence is way up. (Of course we haven't had much of a winter...)
Secondly, there were more older military pistols being offered at this show than I recall at past shows. At one table full of WW 2 pistols from all nations was an aging gent. who has apparently decided that it is time to sell some stuff down.
I'm wondering if both observations aren't an indication of things to come, or if they are aberrations.
