I think you fellows are missing the point, whereas a couple of capitol ships and many submarines were sent to the bottum during the war, the vast majority of the Imperial German fleet was surrendered to the victors after 1918. It is silly to think that these vessels would have been delivered with munitions, sidearms, rations or full crews aboard. Hell the red sailors' revolution in Northern Germany at the end of the war resulted in many sailors forming red brigades and arming themselves with naval sidearms. Others formed Freikorp units to counter the reds.
