I guess that on this site, where threads are rarely more than 4 pages long, it isn't quite as important as some sites where threads are 16, 19, 28 pages long, like this one at ARFCOM -

It may be that the OP wanted to link to a picture or text in a post in a certain thread here without making readers read the entire thread looking for the object of his link...
I just found out a few days ago that only members of this Forum can view links to this forum...I.E., members of ARFCOM who are
not members here can't view a picture I had posted here and also posted a link to over in that Forum...
I'm just guessing; I have no idea what Jack is trying to do...
